Variety originally known as Ribolla Nera, was referred to as Schioppettino only in recent years. Variety native of Friuli. Deep bright-red colour with garnet hues, this wine offers a varied bouquet: blackberry sour cherry and blueberry with a hint of spices and musk. The body is balanced and pleasant. Solid structure and a good aromatic persistency.

Yeld per hectare: 90 quintals of grapes

Vinification: maceration on the skins for 8 up to 10 days at controlled temperature of 25°- 28°C
Refinment: 5 months in cement tanks and aged in bottle for 2 months

Pairing: seasoned and blue cheese, exotic meat skewers, berry pie, chestnuts
