  • Wine produced from Bombino grapes, a vine that is typical of northern Apulia. The name Bombino gave rise to several schools of thought, the most reliable being the one that recognizes a likeness with the words "good wine"; these two words together in the Apulian dialect would form the word "Bombino".
It is believed that the Bombino grape variety has ancient roots, with evidence of cultivation dating back to the time of ancient Greece. During the Roman domination, viticulture in the region further developed, and local winemakers learned the cultivation and winemaking techniques of Bombino grapes.
The Bombino grape is particularly suited to the warm and dry climate of Puglia, characterized by hot summers and mild winters. These climatic conditions favor the production of quality grapes for the production of fresh and aromatic wines.
